                                                  Description                                                  

Class A Foams/Wetting Agents -- The FIREHOUSE quality Class A fire fighting foam concentrate is a mixture of foaming and wetting agents. When proportioned with water it changes the properties of the water, reducing the surface tension and allowing for greater penetration in all Class A fuel and wild land fires. It also gives the water a foaming ability allowing it to remain and cling to the surfaces without run off. Class A is effective in fighting forest fires and many deep-seated fires such as tires, paper, and wooden structures.

 

CHEMWET

  • The Firehouse Quality fire fighting agent  CHEMWET is a highly concentrated wetting and penetrating agent, which allows for quicker extinguishment and stretches your water supply. This formula contains anti-rust and anti-scaling agents, which improves the longevity of storage tanks and application products. CHEMWET is ideally suited for use with inline inductors and/or as a premix solution and has a penetration rate of 350% to 400%
  • To be used at 1 gal of CHEMWET to 2,000 gallons of water
  • Benefits: Lowest cost Class A fire solution

    Note:  CHEMWET does not have foaming properties.

The Firehouse Quality fire fighting agent CHEMWET is a highly concentrated wetting and penetrating agent, which reduces the surface tension of water. The reduction of the surface tension allows for quicker extinguishment and reducing water requirements.

 The Firehouse Quality fire fighting agent CHEMWET is designed for proportioning at 0.05% (one gallon of CHEMWET to 2,000 gallons of water).

The CHEMWET formula contains anti-rust and antiscaling agents as well as friction reducers, which improves the longevity of storage tanks and increases the performance of application. The penetration rate of CHEMWET is 350% to 400%.

                             PERFORMANCE STANDARDS                                       

    Currently there is no U.L. standard or approval process for Class A foam concentrates. Class A foam concentrates should be tested and evaluated in accordance with NFPA 298 Draft International Specification, Class A Foam for Wildland Fires, Aircraft or Ground Applications, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service Interim Requirements for Foam for Wildland Fires, Aircraft or Ground Applications.

                              ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT                                        

  • CHEMWET is biodegradable, low in toxicity and can be treated in sewage treatment plants. CHEMWET concentrate is not manufactured with raw materials that are listed as reportable on any Federal Register.

     

         STORAGE      

    The FIREHOUSE Quality  CHEMWET fire fighting wetting agent is fully synthetic product. If kept in the original manufacturer’s supplied container and storage within the temperature range 35 F - 120 F an indefinite shelf life can be expected. If frozen, thawing will render CHEMWET completely serviceable again.
