                                                 Description

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a Aqueous Film Forming (AFFF) fire fighting foam - These agents are biodegradable and environmentally friendly foams which require very low energy input to produce a very high quality foam blanket that floats on the fuel surface.

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam  application of AFFF provides the fastest knockdown on hydrocarbon fuel fires (gasoline, kerosene, diesel, etc.) and quickly covers the fuel surface. AFFF may also be used on Class A fires.

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a   AFFF fire fighting foam products are intended for use at the proportioning rate of of the product description, i.e. 1% = 1 part concentrate to 99 parts water, 3% = 3 parts concentrate to 97 parts water, etc.

  • Formulated for use at 3% proportioning rate
  • Benefits:  An industry standard, and the most commonly used AFFF.
  • UL 162 Listed, "Foam Liquid Concentrates"

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a  3% AFFF fire fighting foam is a specially formulated, synthetic, aqueous film forming foam concentrate. A vapor suppressing aqueous film is formed by the foam solution draining from the expanded foam blanket. It is intended for use at a proportioning rate of 3% ( 3 parts AFFF concentrate to 97 parts water) on Class B hydrocarbon type fuels such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, etc.

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a   3% AFFF fire fighting foam is not intended for use on fuels which are polar solvent/water miscible such as alcohols, ketones, esters, etc.

    FEATURES

  • U.L. Listed, Foam Liquid Concentrates
  •  The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a s uitable for use with either fresh or salt water
  •  Excellent wetting characteristics when used in combating Class A fuel type fires
  • The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a s uitable for use with both air-aspirating foam and standard water fog nozzles
  • The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a s uitable for use with deluge or closed head foam water sprinkler systems
  • If inadvertently frozen, thawing will render product completely serviceable again
  • The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a s uitable for use with carbon steel, fiberglass, polyethylene or stainless steel.
  • The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a  % AFFF fire fighting foam is not compatible with galvanized pipe or fittings in an undiluted form.
  • Suitable for use with dry chemical extinguishing agents
  • U.L. recommended application rate on hydrocarbon type fuels is .10/gpm ft?.

  • Air-aspirating foam nozzles
  • Foam makers for use with either Floating Roof storage tanks or Dike/Bund protection systems
  • High back pressure foam makers for subsurface base injection system (hydrocarbon type fuels only)

                                    APPLICATIONS

The FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam is a  3% AFFF foam will provide quality protection for a wide range of hazardous areas such as:

  • Crash Fire Rescue
  • Storage tanks (non-polar solvent type fuels only)
  • Truck/Rail loading or unloading facilities
  • Processing/Storage facilities
  • Docks/Marine tankers
  • Flammable liquid containment areas
  • Mobile equipment

    PERFORMANCE

To ensure the FIREHOUSE Quality firefighting foam the fire fighting performance requirements required in today's environment, This fire fighting foam fire tests their 3% AFFF to the fire performance requirements of:

  • U.L. 162
  • UK. Ministry of Defense 42-24 FOAM

                                     PROPERTIES

Aspirating type discharge devices typically generate expansion ratios between 6-10 to 1 when 3% AFFF is mixed with water at the correct ratio. Non-aspirating type  devices will typically generate expansion ratios of between 2-4 to 1.

Expansion ratios are dictated by the type of discharge device, flow rate and discharge pressure.
