Firehouse International was nominated in 2000 for the Governor's Exporter of the Year Awards. The competition was strong with Alaskan companies exporting more than $2.5 billion in goods that year. Governor Knowles' office and the Department of Commerce clearly indicated the value of our export activities to the Alaska economy. Firehouse International was also acknowledged for providing expertise in Fire & Safety training, and for the sales of a diverse line of industrial equipment into global market locations (primarily Russia, Asia, and Central America).
